Thanks man. That helped.
Is there a way to encrypt files before syncing to github?
How come GitHub didn't asks about the login prompt in your case ?
When I do everything and Git push -u origin master.
It asks for username and password but when I enter the error happens and talks about Personal access token.
Any fix for this ??
This is great! Have you tried running this as a plugin in Obsidian to only run the script whenever files are changed?
thanks man, u save my skin! great video!
What about files attached to notes?, images, videos (...), does git magage them properly?, thanks for your video.
Great video!! Thank you for taking the explanations from the base and especially for making these explanations extremely understandable and accessible for a beginner.
Could you tell me how you get the look and feel of iTerm2? I suppose you have to apply a profile but which one do you use?
H6ipjzaN2WY&t=11m57s 11:57 doesnt work. i installed and activated your plugin. i created a private rep in online in github, cloned it to ubuntu, opend it in obsidian, write some sutff. but no upload to git. whats up?
H6ipjzaN2WY&t=6m00s 6:00 git remote add origin email@example.com:me/my_vaults.git ==> fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git . Better use git clone. works for me
Wait...on H6ipjzaN2WY&t=13m38s 13:38 how do you put the script to be run? What format did you save the script? txt?
Thanks for sharing! But the issue is that if you move between machines, then u need to setup git in all these machines to sync them back and fro, in which case, i would prefer to pay for the sync add-on service, to save the hassle.
Interesting idea! Unfortunately, not everything clear for windows users иut I managed to set it up for windows
Can we combine Jekyll with Obsidian to host in GitHub..... >> jekyllrb.com/docs/usage/ jekyllrb.com/docs/usage/
The issue I face with git and Obsidian is that changing filenames within Obsidian or moving notes into different folders is not recognised as a `git mv` and thus requires manual fixing, which kinda defeats the purpose.
The only thing is that images don't render in github due to obsidian syntax ![[ ]]. Is there a way to fix that?
I'm struggling to get sync to run - I'm on Windows - can you point me in the right direction?
This was a great video! I tried this myself and it was a bit faffy for my tastes but great to see how you're doing it!
Thanks for your new video
Apart of that, how to link a local file in Obsidian?
Like a csv file being located on file:////Users/bruno/Dropbox/Obsidian\ Vaults/ClippingContents/statswords.csv
Usually with image or pdf, we would have [This is an Image](image.jpg), therefore how to get that csv file location in Obsidian.
