RUST IS COMING TO THE LINUX KERNEL AND THERES NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. To be clear, I'm not a full on Rustacean, nor am I a missionary of Rust pushing rust onto people who do not want it. BUT, I am a purveyor of code security and see the writing on the wall. Rust is more secure than C, and soon enough, it will become the norm. What do you think about this? Find code and diagrams at: 🤍 There are 3 ways to manage services on Ubuntu Linux. Systemd is considered the “right” way as of now, but using the service command and init.d scripts still work. When. you make changes to configuration files for services such as Apache, UFW or SQUID those changes will not become active until you restart the service. Systemd sudo systemctl status – shows status of all services on server sudo systemctl status apache2 – shows status of specific service sudo systemctl start/restart/stop apache2 – start/stop restart service Service sudo service —status-all | less – shows status of services and allows you to scroll through results. sudo service apache2 status/start/stop/restart – to manage services Init.d (Depricated, but works) sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 status/start/restart/stop – to manage services

I am enrolled in their live course and my learning experience has been phenomenal. I tried learning Linux Administration on my own but in every attempt i hit a dead end. However, I learned Linux Administration from the very best. The quality and experience of the instructor are excellent and this reflects in his high quality post lecture hands on projects and assignments. I must also take this opportunity to thank the support staff for prompt doubt solving via their student forums. I am a permanent member of theirs and will continue to learn from Edureka.”

Linus Torvalds transformed technology twice — first with the Linux kernel, which helps power the Internet, and again with Git, the source code management system used by developers worldwide. In a rare interview with TED Curator Chris Anderson, Torvalds discusses with remarkable openness the personality traits that prompted his unique philosophy of work, engineering and life. "I am not a visionary, I'm an engineer," Torvalds says. "I'm perfectly happy with all the people who are walking around and just staring at the clouds ... but I'm looking at the ground, and I want to fix the pothole that's right in front of me before I fall in." TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less).
