🚀 How to Preload Links in WordPress for Faster Website Loading Speeds and Performance For Free?

In today's WordPress video tutorial we'll learn a simple and free method to have a faster page loading speed and performance on your WordPress website, in a simple, fast, and effective way by preloading the links on this page. WordPress Lazy Loading Implementation Guide 🤍 How To Add a Preloader Animation In WordPress For Free? 🤍 How To Optimize Compress Images On Your WordPress Website For Free To Increase Site Speed? 🤍 Want to preload links in WordPress and increase loading speed? Link preloading is a browser technique that loads links in the background before website visitors click on them, making your website appear faster. In this video, we'll show you how to easily preload WordPress links for faster loading. Why Preload Links in WordPress? With link preloading, your web browser loads a link in the background before the user clicks it. This way, the moment they reach the page, the page is already loaded. Improving your WordPress speed and performance is one of the most important things you can do for your website as it improves the user experience. A faster website can help increase your blog traffic by improving your WordPress SEO. When your internal pages are preloaded, your visitors are more likely to stay on your site longer and view more pages. While there are more things you can do to make your WordPress site faster, preloading links is very simple and can provide a big speed advantage. The only thing is that you have to make sure you set the preload correctly and don't make the usual mistakes. For example, if your settings are too aggressive, and all internal links are pre-installed, it could have the opposite effect, or even crash your server. Let us show you step by step how to properly preload links in WordPress. Preload WordPress links and make WordPress faster, The easiest way to preload links is to use the Flying Pages plugin. It just adds smart preloading to make sure that preloading doesn't crash or even slow down your website. When it detects such a problem, the plugin will stop all preloading. First, you need to install and activate the plugin. Check out our WordPress plugin installation guide for more details. Once activated, navigate to the Settings - Flight page in your WordPress admin to configure plugin settings. Then you need to set the "Delay start preload" time in the drop-down menu. This is the delay to start preloading links when the user's mouse is not moving in the browser window. You can change this setting, but we'll keep the recommended default of 0 seconds. Next, you can set the "Maximum. Change requests per second. The lower you set this number, the less impact it will have on your server. We've left the default setting of "3 requests", which should work well for large Most WordPress hosting environments. After that, you can check the "Preload on mouse pointer only" checkbox. This will preload the link only when the user hovers over it, and reload the page before clicking. This technique makes the perceived load time almost instantaneous, as there is a 400ms delay when the user moves the mouse over the link and clicks it. You can also set a "mouseover delay". This is the elapsed time the user hovers over the link before preloading begins. Below is a list of keywords that the plugin will ignore when preloading. These are standard login pages and image files. You can leave the list as is, or add more keywords as needed. If you're running an online store, you may want to add pages like /cart and other dynamic pages to this list so they don't preload. If you're using an affiliate marketing plugin like ThirstyAffiliates or PrettyLinks, it's also important to add an affiliate prefix like /refer/ or /go/ to this ignore keywords list. Otherwise, affiliate link tracking may break. The last option is to disable preloading for administrators. Overall, this will help reduce your website server load. ⭐ Free Goods of the Week: Download these 6 free goods before it's too late! 🤍 ⭐ Buy Website Hosting Plan and Gain a Free Domain At 🤍 ⭐ Best VPN service 🤍 ⭐ Register Your Domains Hassle-Free 🤍 ⭐ Managed Cloud Hosting 🤍 I hope you guys enjoy this video, feel free to use the comments section below in case you have any questions, and don't forget to check out that Visualmodo website and subscribe to our channel for more web design and development training videos. How to Speed Up Your WordPress Website (Simple Guide)

In this video, you'll learn how to speed up your WordPress website in 3 simple steps. * Additional SEO Resources Wordpress SEO Tutorial for Beginners (Search Engine Optimization Basics) ► 🤍 Wordpress SEO: Advanced Technical SEO Made Easy ► 🤍 A Basic (Yet Powerful) Technical SEO Audit for Beginners ► 🤍 SEO Audit: How to Fix Your Website's Technical SEO Issues (Tutorial) ► 🤍 The Best WordPress SEO Plugins (It's Not Yoast) ► 🤍 SEO Tips to Improve Organic Traffic in Under 15 Minutes ► 🤍 * Google has used site speed as a ranking signal for desktop searches since 2010. And as of 2018, page speed became a ranking factor for mobile searches. Even though speed improvements will only affect a small percentage of slow websites, faster page load times lead to better user experience and ultimately, more revenue. So, there are a number of reasons why your website might load slowly. But the most common reasons that I've seen are due to slow connectivity, caching, page size, and sometimes more technical reasons like render blocking JS. And the 3 steps in this video should help you get better performance from your site. But keep in mind that the things we did for this site won't necessarily translate perfectly to your site. This is because there are tons of things to consider when it comes to WordPress site speed like your theme's code, specific plugins you might be using, server configuration, image file sizes and more. Before you do anything, run your site through some site speed checking tools, like Google's PageSpeed Insights, Pingdom, GTMetrix or our own Site Audit tool. This will help you see what you need to improve. The first thing we did was to switch DNS providers to Cloudflare's free DNS service. And you'll learn how this works and why this is important in the video. The next thing we did was purchase and install the WP Rocket plugin. WP Rocket is an all-in-one site speed optimization plugin for WordPress. The plugin handles common page speed optimizations like caching, preloading, compression, and lazy loads images to name a few. You'll learn what you need to do after installing WPRocket on your site. And finally, we optimized our images. The simple solution is to compress your images using lossy or lossless compression. And there are some great plugins that'll do this for you like ShortPixel and Imagify. And these 3-steps gave us a huge improvement, as shown in the speed checking tools we used. If you're still unhappy with your site speed after making these optimizations, then you'll likely need more custom work done for you. So you may want to consider removing plugins and scripts, switching themes, or hiring a developer to make the appropriate fixes. #speedupyourwordpresswebsite #pagespeed #technicalseo Timestamps: 0:00 Intro 0:58 Common reasons that impact website's load time 1:50 Run a test through page-speed testing tools 3:01 Switch to a fast DNS provider 5:23 Start with caching files 6:05 Optimize CSS files 7:41 Set up JS files loading 8:50 Optimize the media files 9:10 Set up preloading priority 9:49 Use CDN 11:09 Optimize your images Be sure to subscribe for more actionable marketing and SEO tutorials. 🤍 STAY TUNED: Ahrefs ► 🤍 YouTube ► 🤍 Facebook ►🤍 Twitter ►🤍

Add a Preloader on Wordpress

In this video I show you how to add a preloader on WordPress using Preloader Plus plugin. You can download Preloader Plus from 🤍

Why is My WordPress Site So Slow? (5 reasons your website is loading slow)

I’ll walk you through 5 most common reasons your WordPress site is loading so slowly. I will talk you through how you can detect each issue and provide you with links to videos to fix each issue. Speed up Wordpress: 🤍 My website recommendations: 🤍 PayPal tip jar: 🤍 1. WordPress is not caching pages By far the greatest issue is that your WordPress website is not caching the pages. A web cache is basically just a way to use temporary storage (caching) for images, code and stuff like that. So when someone visits your website, your browser is able to store some of the files on visitors computer, so that if they visit another page on your site it will load quicker as some of the files needed to build the page are already in visitors browser storage, for example, your website’s logo, which appears probably on all pages. Now there is also different kind of caching, such as browser cache, which is what I described just now. And server cache, which is basically storing plain HTML files on your server so that it can serve them quicker to your users without the need to go to the database for information that doesn’t change often (like your blog posts). You can see if you have server & browser cache enabled by using tools like Google Page Speed insights or just using your browser dev tools. Luckily WordPress has several great plugins for caching, my favorite is W3 Total Cache and a video of how to set it up will appear in the top right corner of your screen, right now. 2. External scripts slow own load time: The first reason for a slow website is external scripts, such as ads, iframes, and fonts. Usually what makes your website super slow is ads that you show on your website. This is because your website has to first load all the data of its own, then also load the content and images from the ad provider. Unfortunately, you cannot cache ads, as they change every time you reload a page. To combat this, make sure that the script provided with the ads has a tag “async”, which means that the script won’t stop your page from loading, even if it’s not ready yet. If you really want to tackle this, you could also load the external script only after the fool page is loaded, wither on DOM ready or Window on load. It sounds complicated, but you could wrap your script around this code and it will start loading only after the rest of the website is ready. 3. Web Hosting Has Slow Server Response Time The second reason for slow page loads is your web hosting, which will have a big impact on the load speed of your website. Especially managed WordPress plans and even shared hosting plans are much slower than dedicated servers. Obviously, most of you don’t want to invest in a dedicated server, but choosing the right hosting provider is super important. You want a hosting company with good servers which are not overcrowded with websites. To check this you can run a test in google speed insights or in web tools. Let me show you how. Slow Server Response Time 4. Page size is too big The fourth reason is a large page size. And usually, this is because you haven’t compressed and resized your images. Also, it could be that your code is not minimized. You can check this in Google speed insight… Also, check that you don’t have unnecessary Page and Post Redirects To improve this just get a plugin to compress your images when you upload a video of how to do that will appear on your screen now. And also try to see what is the biggest width & height your images have on your website, by resizing your website and right-clicking on it and seeing the image size. To minimize your code you can use W3 total cache WordPress plugin, that will do it for you as well as it will cache your website. Or just use an online tool like this one here. The link will be in the description. 5. Too many bad plugins The last reason for slow-loading pages might be simply poorly coded plugins. You can test this by just disabling all your plugins, except your caching plugin and then running the page speed test again. If you see a big improvement in speed, this means you have a plugin that slowing down your website. You can then enable then one by one, and see which one moves the needle. If you manage to find a plugin that is slowing your website, see if there is a setting to improve this or then try to find another similar plugin. How to Speed Up Your Wordpress Website (in just 5 steps)

Portent ran a study that looked at just over 94 million pages across 10 e-commerce sites. They found a website conversions dropped by an average of 4.42% with each additional second of load time between zero and five seconds. That's huge. You can lose money by just having poor load time. Today I'm going to break down how to speed up your WordPress website in just five steps. RESOURCES & LINKS: “The Perfect SEO Setup for Wordpress: 8 Plugins to Skyrocket Your Rankings and Traffic”: 🤍 SEO Analyzer: neilpatel.com/seo-analyzer Wp Super Cache: 🤍 CloudFlare: 🤍 Kraken: 🤍 Smush: 🤍 Ubersuggest: 🤍 Question for you, how long does your website take to load? If you don't know, put it into neilpatel.com/seo-analyzer, put in your URL and it'll show you how long your website takes to load. I'm going to be focused on speed, but if you want to optimize your WordPress site for SEO, I have another video that walks you through the perfect SEO setup for WordPress with the eight best plugins that you can use. The first thing that you want to do is check your WordPress site speed. You should aim for load time of less than three seconds. Here's some things that'll slow down your WordPress site. Web hosting, when your web hosting server is not properly configured, it can hurt your website. Page size, mainly images that aren't optimized for the web. The bigger the images, the longer they take the load. Bad plugins, if you're using poorly coded plugins, then you're going to see a slow down in your site especially if you have one too many plugins. Another thing to look at is external scripts. The second thing that you'll want to do is install some kind of cache plugin. We talked about this a little bit earlier, but if you don't use caching, every time someone goes to your website, WordPress needs to then generate that page dynamically all over again. Don't do that to your server. Be kind and nice to your server. The third thing you need to do is optimize your images. Images and video content are really heavy, especially on mobile devices. Think about it, just because you have a 5G phone doesn't mean you have 5G reception. So compress them. And I'm all to release a WordPress plugin with Ubersuggest that does this all for you automatically so you don't even have to do it. If you want early access to it just let me know in the comments below. The fourth thing and it's almost mandatory is use a CDN. A CDN is a content delivery network. And a lot of the hosts that you use also offer CDNs. And the last one for you is lazy loading. Think about this, if you have long content, let's say 5,000 or 10,000 words, you don't want to have to load the whole page before someone can read the content. You want to load section by section as quick as possible so people can start reading it as they're reading, more information gets loaded up. And that's what's cool about lazy loading. And I found that in regions that don't have the best internet connection, when we started using lazy loading for our visitors, that way people can get access to the content faster. It decreased our bounce rates in these countries that didn't have the best internet connection by around 6%. That's huge. 6% by just using lazy loading plugin. 00:00 - Introduction 00:39 - Question: How Long Does Your Website Take To Load? 01:00 - Video - The Perfect SEO Setup Wordpress ( 8 Plugins ) 01:37 - Tip 1 - Things That Can Slow Down Your Wordpress Site 03:09 -Tip2 - Install Some Kind Of Caching Plugin 03:52 -Tip3 - Optimization Of Your Images 04:15 - Tip 4 - Using A CDN (Content Delivery Network) 04:58 - Tip 5 - This is Very Important - Installing Lazy Loading ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital 🤍 🤍 ►Subscribe: 🤍 to learn more secret SEO tips. ►Find me on Facebook: 🤍 ►On Instagram: 🤍 🤍 #SEO #NeilPatel #DigitalMarketing

How to Properly Install and Set Up WP Rocket in WordPress

Are you working on setting up WP Rocket for your WordPress site? WP Rocket is one of the best WordPress caching plugin on the market because it offers the most comprehensive set of tools to help speed up your site. The different plan levels determine how many sites the plugin can be used on. To start we would recommend going under the caching settings and enabling caching as well as separate cache files for mobile devices. There's also the option to specify the lifespan of cache files, for most sites 10 hours is fine but if your site is very active in updates you would want to reduce the time required. For optimizing your images to load quickly on the web, you would want to take a look at our guide here: 🤍 Under File Optimizations, the default options are what we normally recommend but as you get further into optimizing your site it can help with speed improvements. For the media section, you can enable LazyLoad so your images only load once a user goes to a section of your site where they are visible and soon WordPress will be able to do that by default. Disabling Emojis means that it will have your users using their browser emojis rather than pulling them from your WordPress site. Preloading gives you the ability to give a bit of a speed boost to specific pages based on your sitemap. The plugin should give you the ability to specify the URL of your sitemap or it will try to find plugin generated files. Next, for the database WordPress handles most of this cleanup automatically but the plugin does give you more power over the ability to do this. For CDNs, they help deliver your content from a geographically closer area to your users to reduce load time. If you would like to take a look at the CDN we use on WPBeginner, we would recommend taking a look using our referral link here: 🤍 The heartbeat tab we would recommend avoiding for most users as there are settings for beginners that can break your site but the default should not cause any issues. There are also addons for improving Google Analytics, Facebook pixel, and interactions with your hosting provider if they are using Varnish for caching. How to Lazy Load WordPress Images (Tutorial & Explanation)

In this video, we're going to be covering how to improve our page loading times on WordPress, by using something called "lazy load". So, normally when we visit a page or post on our website, our internet browser will load up all of the images at once, before showing us the page. If we have a lot of images, this can cause our site to lag and increase our loading times, which in turn can negatively affect our search rankings and traffic. But, to fix this, we're going to get our images to "lazy load", which means instead of the images all loading up at once, only images that will be visible right away will load first. Then, any other images will load up as we scroll further down the page. And don't worry if you think this sounds like it's going to take a long time to set up, all we need to do is install a free plugin, and check a single box!
